Friday Night - The Complete Album
All previous Marillion Weekends have featured a complete performance of a Marillion album on the first night - and 2009 will be no exception! In both Holland and Montreal, Marillion will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Seasons End by playing it from start to finish.
The band have not yet made any further decisions for the performances planned over the three nights, but more details will be announced soon!

In addition to the nightly concerts and other activities available at CenterParcs, both fans and fan clubs in the past have organised football tournaments, sing-alongs, and pub quizzes.

Signing Sessions and Marillion On Site
Will the band be available to sign autographs and pose for photos?
The band will be on site and available most of the weekend to mingle and sign impromptu autographs.
Will there be a signing session again this year?

For the 2009 Weekend we are planning to host two very special opportunities to meet the band!!

In previous years we have had long signing sessions which involved lots of queuing for you and repetitive strain injury for the band! This year the band have said they want to be able to give their very best for the performances in the evening but at the same time not sacrifice the chance to meet with 'The Family' so we are changing things a little to ensure that happens.

In previous signing sessions part of what made the process take so long is having items signed AND your photo taken with the band. We realised that some of you only wanted one of these options too. We are also aware that many of you have had the opportunity to have items signed or photos taken on previous occasions and would probably like to give those who haven't a fairer chance of being able to this time.

Therefore we will be running draws to be 1 of 100 to win a place in a more personal signing session or 1 of 100 to have your photo taken with the band by a professional photographer

To be eligible to win a place (for your entire party if there are more than one of you in your booking) you need to send an email with either the word PHOTO or SIGNING in the SUBJECT and your Primary Booking Contact Name Booking Ref No in the TEXT body to convention@marillionweekend.com closing date Fri 13th February.

All winners will be notified by email by Fri 20th February.

Show time - The Venue and Other Entertainment
The stage in the Adventure Factory looks too small and there doesn't appear to be one anywhere else on site, where will the concerts be staged?
As there is no on-site stage/venue large enough for the concerts, we will be erecting a purpose-built concert arena next to the CenterParcs village as in 2007. It will only be a few minutes walk from your cottage, is heated, and contains well-stocked bars!
Will there be any seating in the concert arena?
Yes there will be limited unreserved seating at the back of the arena, which will be on a first come first served basis.
Will there be a special viewing area for people with special needs (e.g. wheelchair users)?
Yes there will be a clearly marked special viewing area. This will have strict access only by special wristband. Access to this area will be limited to those with genuine need plus ONE additional guest only.
You must contact us before 2 February 2009 to be registered for a special access wristband for this area and with any details of what we can do to help you. Special cases may be made for circumstances that arise after this date, but you must contact us immediately should your situation change.
Will there be support acts?
Yes. A list of confirmed support acts will be available on the Support Bands page of this website. Please check regularly for updates.
Will there be any after-show entertainment this year?
We will plan after-show entertainment in both the Adventure Factory and the Market Place. Both will have alcohol licences until 2am. Further details to follow.

The Racket REcords Merchandise Shop
Will there Marillion and Racket Records merchandise available?
Yes. We will be bringing the majority of our online catalogue PLUS the usual range of new merchandise to debut at the Weekend, and the popular "bargain bin" of discounted ex-stock items that are no longer on sale through our website.
Merchandise from Support Bands will also be available through the shop if they choose to provide it.
Will Marillion merchandise be cash only?
We expect to have credit/debit card facilities available.
Will there be long queues at the merchandise shop?
Hopefully not - we have a eager and willing team of merchandisers ready and able to serve! The shop will be in a new location to 2007, which has better access.

Other Activities
Will there be Contest as in previous years?
There will be several competitions and prize draws on-site to win a large selection of special prizes - including a private meeting with the band!
Full details of these will be provided in your Welcome Brochure upon arrival.
What activities are around for children during the day?
There are many leisure activities available at CenterParcs for children of all ages. Please see a list on the CenterParcs Facilities page on this website for more details.
CenterParcs provide a Children's activity programme - details of this will be available in your Welcome Brochure.
